The October chapter meeting will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Connolly's Pub & Restaurant. The guest speaker will be Susan M. Smith, MAI who will discuss “CRE Industry Performance and The Korpacz Survey.” Her talk will explore current and future CRE industry performance, covering fundamentals, the economy, and investor sentiment, as well as the impact on the real estate market. She'll look at the latest Korpacz Survey in relation to historical trends for different property sectors and geographies.
Susan M. Smith, MAI is a Director in the Real Estate Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the PWC quarterly Korpacz Real Estate Investor Survey®, one of the industry's leading sources of commercial real estate investment trends and data. For the past ten years, she has also served as an adviser and contributing researcher of the annual Emerging Trends in Real Estate® publication. She has 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute and a New York State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. She has co-authored numerous articles, been interviewed by radio, print, and news outlets, and has appeared on Fox Business News, PBS Nightly Business Report, CNBC, and Bloomberg News.
