Friday, May 16, 2008:  ASA International President, John Willey, FASA, will offer the 7-hr USPAP Update Course at the Holiday-Inn-Harmon Meadows in Secaucus. The course is for appraisers who've already taken the full course.

NYC ASA/NYC Bar Mock Trial

The New York City Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers together with the New York City Bar Center for Continuing Legal Education are sponsoring Mock trial: What's It Worth In Divorce? Appraisal Of Assets What's It Worth In Divorce? Appraisal Of Assets, a mock trial, to be held on Monday, March 24, 2008 starting at 9:00 am at the New York City Bar, 42 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036.  Click to View Map

An expert panel comprised of attorneys and ASA appraisers from several disciplines will take you through a step-by-step analysis of a New York City matrimonial dispute involving a number of assets. Included will be a behind-the-scenes "prep session" with plaintiff's and defendant's counsel before trial. The program will conclude with lunch, at which the presiding Judge of the mock trial, Justice Rosalyn Richter of the New York State Supreme Court, will announce the valuation decisions.
